Blessed Assurance Academy (BAA) is a leading mixed (boys & girls), day and boarding school located in Syokimau and Katani, Machakos County, just 20 minutes from Nairobi CBD. We provide quality Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) education for learners from Montessori and Pre-school through Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary (Grade 10–12).

Blessed Assurance Academy was founded by our Director, Mrs. Carolyn Muithya, whose passion for educating children inspired her to leave a secure government career and pursue her calling in early childhood education.
Long before Syokimau became the vibrant community it is today, she envisioned a school where every child could receive quality education regardless of circumstance.
The journey was far from easy.
The area had no proper roads, electricity, or piped water. During the rainy season, children were carried across muddy paths to ensure they reached school safely. Mrs. Muithya served as teacher, driver, administrator, and mentor—all united by one unwavering belief:

That same spirit continues to shape Blessed Assurance Academy today. From welcoming just a handful of learners to becoming one of the region’s trusted CBC schools, BAA has remained committed to nurturing learners who excel academically, lead with integrity, and positively impact society.
